    Description of the position –
    A Landscape Crew Member performs a variety of semi-skilled and skilled tasks in the construction, installation and maintenance of quality landscapes. They are courteous, responsible and dependable. Crew Members adhere to all Hittle’s safety guidelines and have a positive, can-do attitude. Crew Members are the face of Hittle and should be respectful and courteous.

    Landscape Crew Member Responsibilities-
    o Utilize a variety of hand and power tools in landscape maintenance work such as line trimmers and pruners

    o Operate mowers, tractors, trenchers, vehicles and equipment

    o Water plants; mow grass; trim trees and bushes

    o Install bulk mulch; plant flowers, shrubs and trees

    o Rake leaves and clean walks, fields, courts etc.

    o Represent Hittle Landscaping in a positive manner

    o Snow removal in the winter

    Landscape Crew member Qualifications –
    o Ability to properly lift heavy materials, stoop, bend, stand

    o Knowledge of uses and purposes of general construction and maintenance tools and equipment; safe work practices

    o Ability to perform semi-skilled and skilled tasks in a variety of construction and maintenance activities; perform heavy manual labor; understand and carry out directions; establish and maintain effective working relationships.

    Experience and Driver’s license preferred but not required.

    Job Description

    A Softscape / Hardscape Crew Member performs a variety of semi-skilled and skilled tasks in the construction and installation quality landscapes. They are courteous, responsible and dependable.     – Installs bulk mulch, patio pavers, plant flowers, shrubs and trees

    – Builds features such as retaining walls, seat walls, water features, pathways, pergolas and firepits

    – Represent Hittle Landscaping in a positive manner

    – Snow removal in the winter

    – Commercial and Residential installations

    Requirements

    – Ability to properly lift heavy materials, stoop, bend, stand

    – Knowledge of uses and purposes of general construction and maintenance tools and equipment; safe work practices

  • Sump Line Install Tech / Equipment Operator

    The Sump Line Install Tech / Equipment Operator is responsible for trenching and installation of drainage lines such as sump lines at residential landscape projects.  This position reports to the Production Division Field Manager.

    Essential Job Responsibilities:
    • Safely load, transport, and off-load mini-excavators, skid steers and implements/attachments
    • Receive assigned job tasks from Field Manager and execute them in a safe and timely manner
    • Operate equipment to avoid utility lines, equipment, and other workers
    • Add or remove soil within exacting standards to allow for proper drainage prior to the sowing of grass seed and/or the installation of sod
    • Learn and follow both hand and audio signals from other team members and know how to give signals to others
    • Maneuver equipment with attached blades in successive movements across work areas to move rocks, vegetation or topsoil and to spread, level and/or slope terrain as well as trench for drainage tile/pipe.
    • Choose proper attachments and connect hydraulic hoses, mechanical links, belts and more
    • Demonstrates and stewards the Hittle Culture

    Job Type: Full-time Hourly

    Required Education: High school or equivalent

    Required Experience: 2 years Professional Grading / Trenching

    Required Language: Bilingual a plus but not necessary

    Required License or Certification: Valid Driver’s License and ability to meet Insurance Underwriting Criteria.

    We are seeking a FULL-TIME Irrigation Installation Crew Member.

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Ability to work within a team on irrigation installation projects from start to finish
    • Knowledge of site layout, installation, and final adjustment
    • Knowledge of piping, fittings, valves, wiring, controllers, backflow, irrigation heads and sensors
    • Digging holes to access pipes and covering after completion

    Valid driver’s license preferred
