  • Landscape Crew Leader

    Hittle Landscaping is looking for talented and experienced crew leaders. As one of Indiana’s largest landscaping companies we offer competitive wages, great benefits and the opportunity to move up in the company.



    • Supervise installation crew members, hardscape, planting, mulching etc.
    • Management of equipment and safety
    • Training and continuous improvement for team members



    • Valid Driver License- you will be responsible for a truck with a trailer

  • Irrigation Service Technician

    Hittle Landscaping is seeking Irrigation Service Technician for the Indianapolis area. This position will include hands-on repairing and troubleshooting of irrigation systems. Irrigation Service Technicians are responsible for ensuring the quality, timeliness and efficiency of the installation, repair, and maintenance of irrigation systems for our commercial customers. Service Techs are responsible for managing the Safety, Quality, Time & Cost of their projects.

    We are seeking a motivated, hard-working leader with experience installing, troubleshooting, and repairing irrigation systems. Potential applicants should have strong communication skills (English and Spanish a plus) and have the ability to operate various irrigation machinery and tools. A valid Driver’s License is required.

    Job Requirements:

    The ideal candidate will have:

    • Hands on Landscaping /Irrigation installation and Irrigation repair experience
    • Irrigation troubleshooting, repair and water management techniques
    • Horticulture knowledge
    • Must have a valid Driver’s License and ability to pass driver qualifications

  • Landscape Crew Member

    Hittle Landscaping is one of the largest locally owned landscaping companies in central Indiana. We have been in business for over 40 years. We provide a good working atmosphere and a fun professional environment.

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Planting, Sod, Mulch
    • Rough and finish grading
    • Mowing, Trimming, Pruning
    • Snow Removal Services in the winter

    Valid Driver’s License preferred but not required


  • Skid Steer Operator / Finish Grader

    As a Skid Steer Operator for Indiana’s largest family-owned landscape company, you will be responsible for rough grading and/or finish grading of residential and commercial landscape projects.


    • Safely load, transport and off-load skid steers and implements/attachments
    • Operate equipment to avoid utility lines, equipment and other workers
    •  Add or remove soil within exacting standards to allow for proper drainage prior to the sowing of grass seed and/or the installation of sod.
    • Learn and follow both hand and audio signals from other crew members and know how to give signals to others
    • Maneuver equipment with attached blades in successive movements across work areas in order to move rocks, vegetation or topsoil and to spread, level and/or slope terrain
    • Choose proper attachments and connect hydraulic hoses, mechanical links, belts and more

    Required Experience: 2 years Professional Grading

    Your position will part of our Accounting and Administration Team and report to our Controller. We are seeking a highly motivated person who can manage and process a weekly payroll for over 240 team members. There are several other exciting responsibilities that include teaching new crew leaders how to use our labor tracking technology, and assisting the Controller with general ledger reconciliation, month-end financials, plus job costing, budgets and other accounting support functions.

    • Process payroll for employees of a growing 250 employee organization
    • Ensure all payroll processing activities are completed in accordance with company procedures – accuracy and timeliness are essential
    • Support operational managers as needed for payroll questions and reports
    • Process and reconcile job costing data for accuracy and reporting
    • Manage employee crew phones, including set up and maintenance
    • Train Crew Leaders on phone app for job costing data
    • Assists in development of overall payroll procedures by recommending improvements or changes when deemed necessary for greater efficiency; preparation, development, and management of payroll system
    • Maintains payroll system records, and related HRIS records, and compiles reports as needed
    • Manage time and attendance proxy card system
    • Reviews and reconciles timeclock and job cost information for completeness and accuracy
    • Demonstrates ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality
    • Supports and assists the Controller with general ledger analysis, monthly financials, and budget updates
    • Supports and assists the Controller with other fiscal duties as needed

    • Bachelor’s degree in business or accounting preferred by not required
    • Proven experience in a payroll position in a fast-paced environment required
    • Strong knowledge of payroll tax and wage laws
    • Good understanding of common fiscal procedures
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Strong computer literacy including Microsoft Office applications
    • Exceptional multitasking and organizational skills
    • Able to work effectively with minimal supervision
    • Physically able to work seated in front of a computer for long hours at a time
