    Hittle Landscaping is seeking Irrigation Crew Leaders for the Indianapolis area. This position will include hands-on repairing and troubleshooting of irrigation systems. Irrigation Crew Leaders are responsible for ensuring the quality, timeliness and efficiency of the installation, repair, and maintenance of irrigation systems for our commercial customers. Crew Leaders are responsible for managing the Safety, Quality, Time & Cost of their crew.

    We are seeking a motivated, hard-working leader with experience installing, troubleshooting, and repairing irrigation systems. Potential applicants should have strong communication skills (English and Spanish a plus) and have the ability to operate various irrigation machinery and tools. A valid Driver’s License is required.

    • Irrigation installation and Irrigation repair experience

  • Landscape Designer

    Hittle Landscaping, Inc. is a family-owned company serving the needs of both residential and commercial clients. Since 1973, the Hittle family and their dedicated team of professionals have been helping clients to create and maintain extraordinary outdoor environments with a full range of services that add beauty and value and preserve landscape investments for years to come.  We are assisting them in their search for a Landscape Designer.

    The Landscape Designer is responsible for generating residential landscape designs for home owners and custom home/production builder partners.  The Landscape Designer may also be required to design neighborhood entrances and common areas for land development partners.

    Key Responsibilities and Essential Duties:  

    • Serve as liaison between Hittle and client
    • Prioritize design requests and meet tight deadlines
    • Create conceptual drawings and preliminary design studies for prospects, clients and builder partners
    • Present design and cost proposals to prospects and make revisions as needed
    • Generate final designs and construction documents for approval and production
    • Conduct Hand off meetings between design and production for sold jobs
    • Conduct site visits; pre-construction meetings and set-up meetings as needed
    • Generate cost proposals utilizing the Asset system and maintain an up-to-date project status report
    • Log client information and communications into Customer Relationship Management (CRM)

  • Sales Representative - Landscape Services

    Hittle Landscaping, Inc. is a family-owned company serving the needs of both residential and commercial clients. Since 1973, the Hittle family and their dedicated team of professionals have been helping clients to create and maintain extraordinary outdoor environments with a full range of services that add beauty and value and preserve landscape investments for years to come.

    We are assisting them in their search for a competitive Landscape Sales Representative.  The Landscape Sales Representative is responsible for bringing a consistent flow of profitable new business to the company, in accordance with the sales and marketing plan.  The successful candidate will source new sales opportunities and close sales to achieve sales targets.

    The candidate will play a key role in increasing income and revenue by managing and negotiating with clients, generating leads, qualifying prospects and managing sales and services.

    Responsibilities/Activities include but not limited to:

    • Sell landscape management contracts that include mowing, chemical, seasonal color, pruning and/or snow and ice removal to property management companies, commercial properties, multi-unit residential properties and large single dwelling properties, to meet or exceed sales goals
    • Coordinate sales efforts with those in other divisions to increase market share.  Assist in goal setting and planning
    • Prospect for new business, developing relationships with general contractors, builders, commercial developers, property managers and others. Plans and maintains adequate cold and warm calls/leads to cover the market
    • Support account managers in securing renewals and selling additional contracted work as needed
    • Present proposals in complete and professional manner, per company standards.  Follows-up on bids and offers value engineered solutions to customers
      Ensure all estimates are prepared and approved as needed prior to presenting to customer
    • Sell projects at approved prices to meet or exceed targeted profit margins
    • Conduct site inspections and assessment with Estimators/Designers and/or Maintenance Management to determine existing site conditions/accessibility that will affect project
    • Respond to all inquiries and requests for bid in a timely manner
    • Maintain records and tracking of all proposals in progress and timely follows-up to maximize sales opportunities.  Aggressively pursue all proposals in progress
    • Maintain a company-owned database of current customers, prospective customers and past customers to support the marketing and sales effort
    • Work closely with account manager and production staff regarding scheduling, quality and customer service
    • Maintain keen awareness and provide candid feedback on customer relationship and the customer’s perceptions of the product and service being provided, to maximize customer retention
    • Communicate to appropriate parties any problem areas and work to find immediate resolution
    • Anticipate customer needs with positive solutions in a timely manner, assists in the sales of change orders and extra contracted work
    • Represent Company at various events, organizations and associations for building relationships that lead to new business. Act in capacity of Hittle representative and develops community ties to enhance public image and brand of the Company. Maintain positive relations with other companies in the industry and related industries
    • Participate in various industry associations and networking groups to increase knowledge of marketplace, sales opportunities, the competition, selling techniques and best practices
    • Provide feedback to appropriate parties regarding, pricing, competition and other market observations.  Exploit changing market opportunities and respond to competitor strategies
    • Provide feedback to the Director of Business Development and offer recommendations regarding marketing strategies, materials and opportunities
    • Meet company guidelines for customer files, expense reports, and other sales reporting requirements

  • Hittle Landscaping is looking for a talented mechanic for our fleet of mowers, skid steers, trucks and related equipment. As one of Indiana’s largest landscapers we provide excellent pay and benefits to the right candidate. Skills in small engine repair is primary and experience in all types of engine and equipment repair will give you an opportunity to grow with us. You will be in charge of this shift and responsible for keeping our fleet in top shape.

    Requirements:

    • We require that you own your own set of basic hand tools
    • Valid drivers license
    • 5 years experience in engine and equipment repair preferred.
