  • Landscape Crew Leader

    Hittle Landscaping is looking for talented and experienced crew leaders. As one of Indiana’s largest landscaping companies we offer competitive wages, great benefits and the opportunity to move up in the company.

     

    Responsibilities

    • Supervise installation crew members, hardscape, planting, mulching etc.
    • Management of equipment and safety
    • Training and continuous improvement for team members

     

    Requirements

    • Valid Driver License- you will be responsible for a truck with a trailer
    • Experience in landscaping
    • Experience with equipment, skid steers, construction tools
    • Experience in supervision
    • Willingness to work overtime

  • Irrigation Service Technician

    Hittle Landscaping is seeking Irrigation Service Technician for the Indianapolis area. This position will include hands-on repairing and troubleshooting of irrigation systems. Irrigation Service Technicians are responsible for ensuring the quality, timeliness and efficiency of the installation, repair, and maintenance of irrigation systems for our commercial customers. Service Techs are responsible for managing the Safety, Quality, Time & Cost of their projects.

    We are seeking a motivated, hard-working leader with experience installing, troubleshooting, and repairing irrigation systems. Potential applicants should have strong communication skills (English and Spanish a plus) and have the ability to operate various irrigation machinery and tools. A valid Driver’s License is required.

    Job Requirements:

    The ideal candidate will have:

    • Hands on Landscaping /Irrigation installation and Irrigation repair experience
    • Irrigation troubleshooting, repair and water management techniques
    • Horticulture knowledge
    • Must have a valid Driver’s License and ability to pass driver qualifications

  • Landscape Crew Member

    Hittle Landscaping is one of the largest locally owned landscaping companies in central Indiana. We have been in business for over 40 years. We provide a good working atmosphere and a fun professional environment.

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Planting, Sod, Mulch
    • Rough and finish grading
    • Mowing, Trimming, Pruning
    • Snow Removal Services in the winter

    Valid Driver’s License preferred but not required

     

  • Skid Steer Operator / Finish Grader

    As a Skid Steer Operator for Indiana’s largest family-owned landscape company, you will be responsible for rough grading and/or finish grading of residential and commercial landscape projects.

    Responsibilities:

    • Safely load, transport and off-load skid steers and implements/attachments
    • Operate equipment to avoid utility lines, equipment and other workers
    •  Add or remove soil within exacting standards to allow for proper drainage prior to the sowing of grass seed and/or the installation of sod.
    • Learn and follow both hand and audio signals from other crew members and know how to give signals to others
    • Maneuver equipment with attached blades in successive movements across work areas in order to move rocks, vegetation or topsoil and to spread, level and/or slope terrain
    • Choose proper attachments and connect hydraulic hoses, mechanical links, belts and more

  • Landscape Nursery Manager

    Landscape Nursery Manager

    The Landscape Nursery Manager coordinates and manages daily physical and perpetual cycle counting efforts in our landscape nursery. They have excellent administrative and organizational skills. Their attention to detail is impeccable and their desire for accuracy is unquenchable. The Landscape Nursery Manager oversees the Nursery Team and ensures bulk materials, trees and plant materials are properly received, cared for and distributed. Strong written and oral communication skills are important as the Landscape Nursery Manager interacts professionally with internal and external partners. Hittle is a fast-paced organization with time-critical deadlines, the abilities to effectively anticipate and accurately plan are paramount. The successful candidate will be able to perform the following tasks and meet the minimum qualifications.

    Key Responsibilities:
    • Develop inventory control procedures and best practices
    • Conduct daily analyses to anticipate and resolve potential inventory problems
    • Recommend process changes to minimize inventory loss
    • Oversee the Fulfillment of pre-load and delivery orders
    • Control inventory pick locations to ensure maximized efficiency
    • Consolidate reserve racks for optimization and utilization of space
    • Insure nursery team is accurately completing daily all tasks
    • Lead, develop and mentor Landscape Nursery team. Assist with projects as needed
    • They report, monitor and review daily inventory adjustments and changes
    • They identify and resolve inventory and quality issues/discrepancies

    Experience Requirements
    • Fulfillment Materials Movement and Process Inventory Management
    • Replenishment and Cycle Counting using ERP system and Microsoft Excel
    • 2 to 4 years of experience in inventory, distribution and operational procedures
    • 2 years operations management experience
    • Product receiving experience a plus
    • Bachelor’s degree preferred but not necessary
    • Knowledge of landscape and plant materials a plus
